How To Create Great Tasting Vegetables.

Do you hate your vegs. and find them boring even though you know how good they are for you?

Make them more interesting, nutritious and tasty by mixing olive oil (preferably organic extra virgin) with herbs like oregano or chopped basil and drizzle the mix over them.

My favourite is also to add a little lemon juice and alternate with chopped continental parsley - just delicious!

Mantra Magic!

What is a Mantra?

A Mantra is a word or phrase which when repeated can bring peace and stillness to your mind and multiple benefits to your body.

I use Mantras all the time, at any time of day. It is a very powerful tool to help with any stress or anxiety I might experience, or for an ongoing worry that just keeps returning from time to time, or to delete unwanted thoughts, and to help with my concentration.

How to choose your Mantra.
Use a phrase that has meaning for you, it may be religious, spiritual or a calming word like "peace" or "I am peaceful", or "I am focused"
One of my favourites that I use frequently is "I breathe in love, peace and harmony,I breathe out stress and anxiety".

When you repeat your Mantra often you will find that you begin to feel and think exactly as the words you use. Your mind adjusts to this new vibration.

Have fun with experimenting and finding the right Mantra for you.

Find Happiness Every Day

What is happiness? Well in these times of increasing worldwide financial insecurity we may think that happiness is not attainable!

When practiced frequently these ideas will help to overcome your fears, stress and anxiety and lead you into a place of greater calm.

1. Watch a funny DVD or video, laughter is one of the best mood lifters around.

2. Go into a florist (you don't need to buy) or a park and enjoy and appreciate the abundance of flowers, their perfume and beauty will give you an instant lift.

3. Exercise in the fresh air with a friend, I have found that even if I feel too tired, when I start, I soon feel invigorated and refreshed.

4. Meditate; find a quiet space, sit or lie and just relax, think uplifting thoughts of gratitude for all the positive elements in your life, food, clothing, a place to live and add many more as they come into your mind.

5. Help someone, maybe a friend or neighbour or even someone on the street. This act or a few kind words will benefit you as much as it does the receiver.

6. Play some of your favourite music, sing and dance, really dance - with joy and wellbeing.

The Multiple Benefits Of Celery

Many of us look upon celery as a not very interesting or inspiring vegetable, when in actual fact it is an herb and is documented as one of the oldest herbs used by humanity.

Try it as a snack with a hommus dip, it's also delicious in salads and soups, and adds extra flavour and nutrition to stews!

But did you know that it is also extremely valuable for the relief of inflammation related to pain associated with arthritis and gout, as a diuretic, to ease flatulence, and also to aid digestion. Quite an impressive list!

Note: Another important property of celery (especially for those of us who are watching our weight) is that it contains so few calories that digesting it uses more energy than it provides!

So use celery with gay abandon throughout the year!
