First Aid For Your Liver!

Our liver is one of the largest organs in our body, and it does a fantastic job of filtering and dealing with the food and drink we consume. Even if we (like myself) eat healthily, it's good to indulge in a little chocolate, the odd cake here and there, not to mention a glass or two of wine at the end of the working week.

However if we overindulge on a regular basis our poor hardworking liver will begin to tell us in no uncertain terms! We may begin to experience headaches, fatigue, problems such as dull tired looking skin, disrupted bowel habits and a general feeling of being unwell.

Give your liver a helping hand by drinking plenty of filtered water, eating a low fat diet, and supplement with herbs such as Milk Thistle and Dandelion (try Dandelion tea instead of your usual coffee, it's taste is quite different and delicious). Turmeric and Globe Artichoke are also good options.

Go easy on the junk, enjoy good food, and your liver will thank you!

Spring Is In The Air!

Spring is just around the corner, (for us here in the Southern Hemisphere) and I, like most of us am ready to emerge from my winter gear and enjoy the balmy spring air. But as we are often prone to do, a few extra unwanted kilos may have deposited themselves onto our bodies over the winter months.

Time to engage in some exercise, tone our muscles, regain our fitness for the summer months to come, and cut down on those fattening, warming, comforting foods

But doing so isn't always easy, in fact it can be quite a challenge and summer salads every day not quite as appealing as we would wish.

Try cutting back gradually, not in one fell swoop! I like to give myself a little assistance with SP6 Appetite Control Patches, which use the principles of Acupressure to help with hunger pangs and sugar cravings. The best thing is there are no pills or drugs being added to my body, they are all natural and safe.

Lets make sure that this summer we look and feel our very best!

Family

How many of us really cherish our families? There may be disputes, arguments and differences of opinion which may cause a rift, sometimes temporary and occasionally for ever in any family situation.

Or we may only think of our families at Christmas or on birthdays.

Families are special and support us through thick and thin, and anger and resentment can eat away at our very heart and soul. So forgive and forget even though it may be the hardest thing in the world to do. Love and respect in a family situation leads to harmony in your town, which creates honour within a nation, and thence promotes world peace.

Standing Tall!

How often do we think about our posture? If you look around you will see many people walking a little bent forward either by habit or to alleviate pain, or as if deep in thought.

Did you know that poor posture when sitting, standing or walking can lead to back and neck pain, shallow breathing and can even lower your mood?

So stand tall and straight, be proud of your height, it will add to your charisma, the way others perceive you, and increase your health and wellbeing.

And even if your day is going badly, don't forget to smile: you will be amazed at how many smiles you will get in return!
