Hints For Your Health, Vitality And Wellbeing

Most health gurus tell us that a good diet and sufficient exercise are the most important things to target for your health, (which of course they are), but maintaining your intake of fluids is of equal importance.

We can live for up to a month without food, but only a few days without water!

So try to consume about eight glasses of filtered alkaline water each day for a clear skin, sustained energy levels, and to help clear your body of toxins.

Your body will thank you with ongoing good health and vitality.

Need Relaxation And Inspiration?

At any time of the year, but especially now that the days are becoming cooler (here in the Southern Hemisphere) one of the most relaxing things you can do is spend some time in your garden, or, if you don't have one, a park, botanical garden, or even your balcony - in the company of pot plants or hanging baskets. Just chill out and regenerate your mind, your body and your spirit.

I saw this quote recently whilst on a visit to a beautiful fragrant garden near to where I live, and I loved it so much that I thought it worth sharing.

"The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth."

Good Sense Ways To Ease Stress

Stress! We all have it, but excessive stress can be damaging to our health and well-being.

Here are a few strategies which I have found to be most helpful to calm some of the stresses of our daily lives.

Take a day off or even a week - yes everyone needs a break and some "me" time occasionally, so delegate your workload and relax.

Sleep in, and when you wake, stretch luxuriously like a cat, and lie for a few minutes before rising.
Contemplate the day ahead with deep contentment and banish all worrying thoughts from your mind.

Sit in the open air with a cup of (preferably herbal) tea, breathe in deeply and let go any remaining unease.

Go for a walk by the beach or in a park, and feel your mind and body becoming peaceful and relaxed.

You may feel the benefit of listening to some music you love, or reading a book you have been wanting to but have never seemed to have had the time to indulge in.

Having enjoyed your break however short, savour the benefits and return feeling refreshed and renewed.
